Objectives:
The intended result of this activity is increased knowledge/competence, and upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Explain the benefits and risks of statin use in diabetes.
- Compare specific treatment modalities that decrease vascular complications in diabetes.
- Interpret the relationship between cholesterol intake and lipid metabolism.
- List risks and benefits of aspirin in diabetes.
- Analyze different fish oil preparations and their potential use in diabetes
