He is the Editor in Chief of HealthSouth Press, the publishing arm of one the nation's largest rehabilitation hospital systems. Dr. Senelick served as the Medical Director of HealthSouth RIOSA in San Antonio, Texas for 30 years. He is a Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

Objectives:
The intended result of this activity is increased knowledge/competence, and upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Review the clinical approach to the patient with weakness and identify the different locations in the nervous system that cause weakness.
- Describe the basic neurologic examination for rehabilitation physicians.
- Explain how to make the diagnosis of "Encephalopathy" and examine the medical literature on its incidence in critically ill and ICU patients.
- Define Critical Illness Myopathy and Polyneuropathy, review the pertinent medical literature and list the necessary steps in appropriate documentation.
