Objectives: The intended result of this activity is increased knowledge/competence, and upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
  • Describe evidence basis for use of ECMO in respiratory failure
  • Discuss predictors of survival in patients supported by ECMO for respiratory failure
  • Demonstrate strategy for decision making in patient selection for respiratory ECMO
