Assigning an Independent Reviewer

Assign an Independent Reviewer (IR) if the speaker has disclosed a financial relationship.

• An IR will need to be assigned to review the presentation slides to identify and mitigate bias prior to the start of the presentation
• Assign this person to the session using the same process used to assign a speaker
• If you don’t know who the IR is for your activity, it can be found by going to the main Activity Center and clicking on Reporting
• The IR will receive an automatic notification email with instructions on how to complete this assignment
• Confirm this assignment has been completed prior to the presentation by going into the Session Status Report; review the form to ensure IR approval of presentation
