Objectives: The intended result of this activity is increased knowledge/competence, and upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
  • Diagnose patients with persistent asthma and recommend SMART therapy if applicable, based on 2020 NAEPP Asthma Update Guidelines
  • Counsel patients regarding the use of a single inhaler for both maintenance and rescue treatment
  • Anticipate and plan for potential barriers to implementation of SMART

Additional Information: Target Audience: This course is designed for physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners and pharmacists who specialize in adult endocrinology, internal medicine, family & general practice, and hospital medicine. The intended goal of this activity is increased knowledge, competence and performance and enhanced patient care.
